Xin Wang Hong Kong Café

Just found that I never wrote a commentary on this restaurant! How can it be?! It has been my favorite comfort food since Tam Jai closed down at Suntec. I found it always good with seat available even during peak hours. The staffs are always very nice and helpful, make me feel like home. Food itself is fair, can make me feel good for a quick lunch!

Our second visit because of the good food and nice service crew. We come to this outlet because of their chicken pork stomach wanton claypot. It is really very nice and good for cold weather! My wife loves the chill that comes with this dish. Her favorite chill. As for the crew, I have to shout out for their attentiveness to customers want. The restaurant is packed and the only seating left are outside. The crew knows the seating is not our preferred table. When there is an available table inside the restaurant, they shifted us inside. Very nice gesture. Will come back again when we are at Bugis.

This place brings back memories from when I used to study in Singapore, which is why it feels a bit sad coming back now. The Bugis outlet doesn’t taste as good anymore, and it’s really not the same as I remembered. I also came in the morning for breakfast and there was no air-conditioning — it only starts at 10:30am. So if you’re sensitive to heat, I wouldn’t recommend coming early. It feels more nostalgic than actually good now.

Like this outlet a lot… not much crowd in bugis. Nice plan to dine or gathering with friends. More crowd at night as it’s 24 hours. Food standards maintained and seriously love their garlic doumiao. SO delicious! It’s better than some restaurants and zi char stall. Drinks like milk tea flat etc are good too. French toast also nicely done and not too jelak even having the entire portion. Servers are mostly senior citizens but friendly and efficient.

I had a wonderful experience at Xing Wang Café in Bugis. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options that were both satisfying and flavorful. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. What impressed me most was that the café remained open during Chinese New Year, offering a welcoming spot when many places were closed. It’s definitely a place I’d recommend for good food and great service, no matter the occasion

I’ve been to Xin Wang HK Cafe many times before. This time, I ordered the Chicken with Pig’s Stomach soup. It should be appealing to the mass public… old and young. If I may nitpick, the pig’s stomach is too hard/rubbery to chew. Hence I award 4 out of 5 stars.

Tried the hotplate chicken chop, chicken was well marinated, flavourful and fries were very soft and crispy. Portion here was decent and reasonably priced. Staff were also very friendly, attentive and helpful to our request.
